Pastor Jim Carlson
Pastor
Jim became senior
pastor at First Baptist Church in 2003. He served as co-pastor from
July 2001 to December 2002. He has previously served congregations in
New York, California, and Illinois. A native of the Chicago area, Jim is
excited to be back in the Midwest, closer to family and friends. Jim is
fluent in Spanish, and has experience in ministry among Hispanics.
Jim holds a Master of Divinity from Northern Baptist Theological
Seminary, a Doctor of Ministry from San Francisco Theological Seminary,
and a PhD in Biblical Theology from Marquette University. He is an
Adjunct Professor at the University of Wisconsin at Oshkosh, Marquette
University, Carroll University, and Judson University. Jim's interests
are baseball, computers, motorcycles, and music.
